Visit Jacksonville. Where Florida Begins.

How Things Work

Start your day at Peterbrooke Chocolatier Production Center to view how Jacksonville's home-town sweet treat is produced.  Peterbrooke's specialty is chocolate-covered popcorn, but also sample chocolate covered pretzels, chocolate covered strawberries and other delectable goodies.  Call ahead to schedule a behind-the-scenes tour.

Minutes away on San Marco Boulevard stop in Take Away Gourmet (TAG) to select your own fresh picnic ingredients.  TAG offers home cooked prepared foods and desserts, a fresh unique salad bar, a selection of wines, beverages and cheese, grab and go lunch items, frozen yogurt and more.  The St. Johns River is steps away and will beckon you to a local park to dine in the river breezes.

Following lunch, head North on I-95 and discover the Budweiser Brewery Tour.  Guests uncover the process of creating the world's greatest beers, using the highest quality ingredients during complimentary tours.  Guests 21 years of age can sample their favorite brews in the Hospitality Room or visit the Gift Shop for a wide selection of merchandise.  A Brewmaster Tour is now available for a guided tour on the floor of the brewery.  Call for reservation and pricing.

Or, for a unique adventure head towards the beaches for a one-of-a-kind tour at Irene Parfums & Cosmetiques Lab, Inc.  Guests explore the ancient mysteries of creating parfums.  A tour of the facilities are a must, as is creating a customized parfum made exclusively for you.  With the help of an expert you select the ingredients to create your unique scent.  For an appointment, please call (904) 641-5171 or visit the Web site.  http://www.ireneparfums.com/

For your last stop exploring the way things work in Jacksonville, head south to St. Augustine where you'll find San Sebastian Winery.  Complimentary tours of the winery and tastings of San Sebastian's specialty premium table, sparkling and dessert wines from hybrid and muscadine grapes.  End the night right at The Cellar Upstairs, located on the rooftop of the winery.  Enjoy the views of historic St. Augustine while sipping fruity sangria or a glass of house wine.  Jazz performers scheduled daily.  For more information call (904) 826-1594 or visit the Web site.  http://www.sansebastianwinery.com/
