Deepwater Horizon Oil Incident Update

Deepwater Horizon Oil Incident Update

Updated June 4, 2010

Jacksonville is located in the Northeast corner of Florida along the Atlantic Ocean.  Despite the oil drifting onto Florida's shoreline in the Gulf of Mexico, Jacksonville's 21 miles of coastline are clear and open for business.

Visit Jacksonville is monitoring the situation on a daily basis in the event that the incident reaches Jacksonville's shores, which, at this time, appears to be highly unlikely.
