A Ride to the Southside

Don't let it's corporate appearance fool you, there are plenty of opportunities for shopping, entertainment and nightlife on the Southside of Jacksonville. Located southeast of Downtown this neighborhood is home to major corporate headquarters, medical facilities and some of the best dining and nightlife in Jacksonville.

Morning:

• Shop until you drop or leisurely browse store windows at  the St. Johns Town Center or Avenues Mall. 
• Hunt for antiques at the region's best antique boutiques and super malls like Avonlea Antique Mall. 

Afternoon:

• Kids of all ages will get a kick out of Dave and Buster's, a restaurant, bar and entertainment complex with the "Million Dollar Midway," featuring more than 200 interactive video games.
• Bowl a frame of two in the state-of-the-art boutique bowling alley at Latitude 30.  The newly-opened 50,000 square foot entertainment complex also has an arcade, incredible dining and other attractions. 
• Catch the latest release at Cinemark Tinseltown movie theater located in the heart of Southside. 

Evening:

• Take in a Broadway show and dinner at the Alhambra Theatre & Dining.  The long-standing theatre has recently undergone a makeover, including great new buffet options.   
• The St. Johns Town Center not only offers shoppers a great selection of retailers, but also a fine selection of restaurants, including Maggiano's Little Italy and The Capital Grille. 
• Get a taste of a popular local brewery and American favorite's at Bold City Grill, named for the Bold City Brewery in Jacksonville. 
• When the sun sets take in the nightlife scene at newly opened Whisky River or SUITE located near the St. Johns Town Center.
