Cruising

Carnival Cruise ShipJacksonville has quickly become a hotspot for those looking to cruise from a homeport in Florida.  Located at the crossroads of Interstate 95 and Interstate 10, Jacksonville is within easy driving distance of travelers in the Southeast.

Travelers cruising from Jacksonville can enjoy activities for all ages, perfect for a pre- or post-stay in Northeast Florida. Whether it's a romantic getaway along the beaches or a stay Downtown to soak up the nightlife, Jacksonville offers adventures for everyone.

Since 2004, Jacksonville has been a homeport to Carnival Cruise Lines at the Jacksonville Port Authority (JAXPORT). In 2008, the current ship, Celebration, will be replaced with a Fantasy-class ship, the 2,052- passenger Fascination, to meet the demand of visitors sailing from Jacksonville.   The last call for the Celebration will be April 19, 2008 and the first call for the Fascination will be September 20, 2008.  While Jacksonville will have a five-month period with no ship, Northeast Florida looks forward to welcoming the Fascination as it is will receive an extensive upgrade and will accommodate more passengers.
