New Breweries have been opening like crazy over the last year in Jacksonville! If you haven’t visited to taste our new beer, it’s time to plan a return trip.

In Murray Hill, Fishweir Brewing Company is a family-owned and operated brewery that provides an experience the whole family can enjoy. The brewery provides Jacksonville with a range of farmhouse style and mixed fermentation beers. Fans of sour beer will love Fishweir, which is Jacksonville's first sour-focused brewery. In addition to the craft beers, they offer a selection of wine, kombucha, sparkling waters and locally made cheese flights and pretzels. Although they don't feature a full kitchen, Moon River Pizza and Murray's Taco Bodega are great nearby options to order in from. The pet-friendly patio is a great space for dog-lovers to sit back and enjoy the Pucker Factor sour, perfect for a hot day.

A small neighborhood brewery in Atlantic Beach is serving the laid-back town stouts, imperials and sours. Reve Brewing is the go-to spot for beach-goers with its weekly beer slushies that cool patrons down on even the hottest day. Their rotating tap always provides something new to try. Try one of their classics, Feed Your Head, a hazy IPA with Citra, Galaxy and Mosaic hops. Their warm and cozy environment features antique styled décor and a bar and tables for groups.

In Jacksonville's up and coming Rail Yard district, Tabula Rasa Brewing uses their lush green space and industrial interior to create a welcoming space with “beer for beer lovers”. Their Brutiful Disaster #2 IPA uses cascade hops and champagne yeast and is a Tabula favorite. For those who prefer less hoppy brews, try the Dancing Palms Tropical Ale, a hybrid between Blond Ale and Pale Ale. The brewery frequently offers family-friendly events with live music, yoga, trivia and food trucks. At Tabula Rasa, you are welcome to come bring your own food, order local delivery, or visit a nearby food trucks and hang out in their huge backyard.

Strings Sports Brewery highlights the history of the Springfield neighborhood in their art deco windows and original architecture, the building was originally a service station. Their brews hark back to Jacksonville sports legends, like the Bullet Bob Hazy IPA, named after the Jacksonville Native, who was an Olympic gold medalist and Superbowl winner. This space is perfect for sports fans and families alike, featuring TV's playing the latest games, 2 full-sized basketball hoops, corn hole, darts and an outdoor beer garden to boot. In between family games of Connect Four, try their Red Caps Red Ale, an American-style red ale named after Jacksonville's famous 1938 Negro American League baseball team.

Serving the families of South Jacksonville, Legacy Ale Works was founded “for families by families”. The microbrewery offers a mix of craft beers for everyone to enjoy. Legacy Ale Works has events like Family Fun Day and Trivia Nights to keep the whole family engaged. There is even a separated area for the little kids to play in! From Thursday through Sunday, you can cool down with Legacy Ale Work's wine and beer slushies. The flavors change weekly, so you can always come back and try something new. For those more adventurous, Casper's Shadow is a pale ale treated with ghost peppers. Feel free to grab a flight and play a game of Jenga in the clean and modern interior.
