Black History Hero Presentation
February 13, 2026 6:30 PM –7:30 PM
The Performance Academy and Right Story Group, in collaboration with Norman Studios, invite you to an unforgettable evening celebrating youth voices, bold storytelling, and Black history in motion.
Join us for the Black History Hero Presentation and the debut of a powerful short film written, directed, produced, and performed entirely by teen artists from TPA. This evening will showcase the creativity, insight, and fearless vision of the next generation of filmmakers and performers.
In the Black History Hero Presentation, our teens step into the roles of influential figures and pivotal moments throughout Black history. Through performance and storytelling, they bring history off the page and onto the stage—making the past vivid, personal, and present.
The short film, created entirely by the youth, explains the impact Norman Studios had on black actors in film. To top the evening off, the youth have created Mute, a silent film which demonstrates the power of the motion picture.
This is more than a screening - It’s a celebration of youth artistry, cultural legacy, and the stories that deserve to be seen and heard.
