Jacksonville Giants

To date, the Giants have maintained a winning streak, bringing home the ABA National Championship in 2012, 2013, 2016 and 2017.

The Jacksonville Giants belong to the ABA (American Basketball Association). Starting as the Jacksonville Jackals, it wasn’t until the Jacksonville Jam in 2006 that the team began to gain momentum and evolved into the Jacksonville Giants in 2010.

The Jacksonville Giants are owned by local U.S. Navy Veteran and Attorney, Ron Sholes. Jerry Williams, Head Coach, is a former player of the Jacksonville Jam, his brother is a Jacksonville Jaguars fan-favorite player, Rashean Mathis.

Keep an eye out for these Jacksonville Giant's players:

  • Jermaine Bell, who took on the role as our starting center, and has been with the team since the inception of the Giants in 2010.
  • RJ Wright and Bernard Nugent are Jacksonville natives, they both called Jacksonville home and played for local high schools.
  • Bruce Brown, a former Globetrotter, was an exciting addition to the team.

The Jacksonville Giants have brought the community together by showcasing the team's skills around the country. You can catch a game in Jax at different venues around the city, including the Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena, the University of North Florida and Edward Waters College arenas.

You can catch a fun and action-packed game starting at as low as $10.
