Boating

With more shoreline than any other Florida city, it makes sense that there are plenty of opportunities to put your boat in the water and explore!

Boating in Jacksonville gives you the advantage of being able to spend time on the St. Johns River, Intracoastal waterway or offshore in our coastal waters. Many boaters enjoy cruising up and down the St. Johns River - with over 50 miles of river in Jacksonville it gives the opportunity to see so many different sights. Jacksonville has more shoreline than any other city in the nation, with 22 miles of spacious and exciting beaches where visitors can work on their tan or get active, take surfing or kiteboarding lessons, rent kayaks and paddleboards, rent a fishing charter boat to fish the jetties or go offshore. Close to the beaches, the Intracoastal Waterway offers 40 miles of inland waterways perfect for fishing, boating, and exploring the local wildlife. In the heart of Downtown Jacksonville, the St. Johns River takes the spotlight with miles of navigable water for boaters to explore.
