World of Nations Celebration
Coming up February 24-25, the World of Nations Celebration will bring a globe of cultures to the Jacksonville Shipyards, located next to EverBank Stadium in Downtown. Representatives from over 20 different nations will share their culture through cuisine, music, garb, dance, language and more. Children can learn about different cultures at the World of Kids Playland, along with other programming throughout the celebration.
CollectiveCon
March 8-10, 2024 is year 10 of CollectiveCon in the newly-refreshed Prime F. Osborn III Convention Center. The decade-running convention brings visitors from all over to attend fan panels, video game tournaments, various contests, celebrity appearances and after-parties. As Northern Florida’s premier pop culture event, CollectiveCon brings many travelers to the city for a three-day weekend.
Black History 365 Melanin Market
Celebrate Jacksonville’s Black history and culture at the Black History 365 Melanin Market in the historic Eastside neighborhood on March 3. A. Philip Randolph Blvd. is the place to be for food, performances by local high school bands, a kids zone, minority businesses, vendors and much more.
Jacksonville International Film Festival
Featuring 90 films, the 2024 Jacksonville International Film Festival will take place in various venues in Downtown Jacksonville, April 12-14. Categories include documentary, short narrative, LGBTQ+, best of Jacksonville and more.The weekend also includes workshops for film makers and a women in film brunch.
MOCA's Project Atrium: Frank Stella
As the cornerstone of its 100th anniversary celebration, the Museum of Contemporary Art will feature work from renowned artist Frank Stella in the Project Atrium February 29 through July 21. Project Atrium is a bold series of site-specific and site-sensitive art installations created by artists and commissioned by MOCA. This will be Stella’s second exhibit at the museum. The first was in 2018.
Springing the Blues
Music will bring Jacksonville Beach to life April 5 - 7 at Springing the Blues, the 32nd annual blues festival at Seawalk Pavilion . Springing the Blues offers travelers over 20 musical acts between two stages, including Bywater Call, Joanne Shaw Taylor and Tab Benoit. There will also be a food court, artisan marketplace and family-friendly activities: all just steps away from the surf of one of the city’s most beautiful beaches.
Jacksonville Jazz Festival
At the Jacksonville Jazz Festival, the tunes continue to elevate come Memorial Day Weekend, May 23-26. The event returns to its roots in Metropolitan Park and Daily’s Place in Downtown Jacksonville, a move from the previous event site at Riverfront Plaza. The festival’s 40+ year tenure is a cherished cornerstone of the jazz community, bringing in major talents throughout the decades and hosting the Jacksonville Jazz Piano Competition to kick off the festivities.
