Cafe Resistance

Cafe Resistance is a bookstore and coffee shop located at 5007 Soutel Dr. in the Sherwood Forest neighborhood in Northwest Jacksonville. The idea for this store came from Florida State Representative Angie Nixon. She wanted to provide the community with a place where they could go and they can gather and they can be real with each other. The cafe offers coffee, smoothies, homemade sandwiches, and snacks. The bookstore also carries books that are from black authors, banned books, or books from marginalized voices.
