ART MUSEUMS AND GALLERIES

Cummer Museum of Art & Gardens: Located in the historic Riverside Avondale neighborhood, the Cummer Museum houses over 5,000 works of art spanning 8,000 years including significant European and American paintings and a renowned Meissen porcelain collection. Visitors can also tour the century-old beautiful formal gardens overlooking the St. Johns River.

Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) Jacksonville: With more than 1,000 pieces in its permanent collection, MOCA in Downtown Jacksonville encompasses one of the largest collections of modern and contemporary art in the Southeast. View paintings, installations, prints, sculpture, and photography by some of the biggest names in the visual arts.

Ritz Theatre and Museum: History and music share the stage at the Ritz Theatre and Museum. It is located in the LaVilla neighborhood of Downtown and considered to be "the mecca for African American culture and heritage" in Florida. The theater was once a movie house for black families. It now houses a museum for Jacksonville’s extensive African American history and art and a theater with special events every week.

Cork Art Studios: The Cork Arts District in the Riverside Avondale neighborhood encompasses more than 80,000 square feet of warehouse space dedicated to artist studios, galleries and creative spaces.

Phoenix Arts District: Spanning 8.5 acres in Jacksonville’s Springfield neighborhood, this creative hub brings artists, makers and mission-driven entrepreneurs together to create, collaborate and grow in a shared, inspiring environment.

Alexander Brest Gallery: Located at the Jacksonville University campus in the Arlington neighborhood, this gallery is a 2,300-square-foot exhibition space featuring a diverse range of artistic works. Its rotating exhibitions highlight nationally recognized artists across various mediums, alongside the creative work of emerging Jacksonville University students and designers.

Stellers Gallery: Stellers Gallery in San Marco is a leading Southeast art gallery featuring the work of more than 35 contemporary artists from across the United States.

Yellow House Art Gallery: Yellow House in Riverside Avondale uses art and community engagement to inspire change, featuring thought-provoking exhibitions and events that spark dialogue around social equity, human rights, sustainability and untold stories of Jacksonville’s people and neighborhoods.

Southlight Gallery: This gallery showcases leading artists from Northeast Florida, including creators with regional, national and international recognition, with a diverse collection of styles and mediums. You can find this gallery inside the Bank of America building in Downtown Jacksonville.

The Vault at 1930: Art gallery featuring contemporary, abstract and impressionist works, along with a variety of sculptures located in San Marco.

Gallery725: Gallery725 in Arlington features an eclectic collection of artwork from talented local artists, alongside national and international works and collectible pieces by renowned celebrity and historic artists.

ART FESTIVALS AND MARKETS

Downtown First Wednesday Art Walk: Visit Downtown Jacksonville on the first Wednesday of the month to explore artwork from local artists, listen to live performances by local bands and enjoy food and drinks at James Weldon Johnson Park.

North Beaches Art Walk: Explore the Beaches Town Center where Atlantic Beach and Neptune Beach meet every Third Thursday to browse local beachy art and live music.

Jax Beach Arts Market: One Saturday a month, you can check out the Jax Beach Arts Market at Seawalk Pavilion. Find a new art treasure to take home.

Riverside Arts Market: Riverside Arts Market is a weekly, local-focused market held under the I-95 Fuller Warren Bridge every Saturday, rain or shine. Shop from local artists, makers, farmers and small businesses.

Mandarin Art Festival: The Mandarin Art Festival is an art festival held every Easter weekend since 1968, making it the longest-running event of its kind in Northeast Florida. The festival draws thousands of visitors each year to discover works from returning and new artists.

Amplified Avondale: Experience live music and local art on the last Friday of each month in Jacksonville! Enjoy performances, discover local artwork and grab a bite at one of the many restaurants along St. Johns Avenue in Riverside Avondale.
