Take a Stroll Through Jacksonville's Romantic Parks

This Valentine’s Day consider something a little different and include Jacksonville’s parks into your date plans.

Whether it is watching the sunset across the St. Johns River or taking a stroll after dinner in the San Marco Square, this won’t cost you a dime. Just in time for Valentine’s Day, here is a list of some of the most romantic parks in Jacksonville!

Tide Views Preserve

Take in this scenic view while strolling down the boardwalk pier for amazing views of the Intracoastal Waterway. Located in Atlantic Beach, this preserve is open til dusk.

Riverfront Park

Laverne St, 32207

Located in San Marco, this is the perfect spot to watch the sunset. This newly renovated park has more space for visitors to walk up and down along the river. Parallel parking is located along the park.

Balis Park

1999 San Marco Blvd, 32207

Walk over from dinner in the San Marco Square to Balis Park and enjoy good company and conversations. Park benches are located around the park. Capture the moment by taking a photo next to the historic San Marco lions.

Jacksonville Arboretum & Gardens

1445 Millcoe Rd, 32225

Get active before dinner! Get your steps in before indulging in that Valentine’s Day dinner. Jacksonville Arboretum & Gardens has breathtaking views and trails ranging from easy to difficult. $3 donation is requested to help pay for the operations.

Friendship Fountain

Take in the views of the downtown skyline from Friendship Fountain Park. Come right after the sunset and see the Friendship Fountain light up! Walk along the South Bank Riverwalk and see the mosaic mural, “Mirrored River: Where Do You See Yourself?,” under the Main Street bridge.

Walter Jones Park

Located in Mandarin, this 10-acre park gives you the feeling of old Florida. Open from dawn to dusk, bring some appetizers and enjoy a picnic before headed to your dinner reservations.
