The weather may be getting spicier here in Jax but so are our events. From all your favorite sporting events to fishing, fireworks and music festivals, summer break in Jacksonville is just the trip you need to plan.
July
Fourth of July Celebrations
Fireworks: No one does it better than Jacksonville when it comes to celebrating the 4th of July! There are plenty of spots to see the sky light up. From rooftop bars, the beach or the Downtown river walks, you'll always get front row seating.
Other festivities: What's more American than a baseball game? Head to Klutho Park (204 W 3rd Street) on July 4th from 10 am-2 pm for a Throwback Baseball Game hosted by Springfield Preservation and Revitalization Council. Come out and watch the Eastside Reds versus the Westside Giants compete in authentic, turn-of-the-century uniforms and equipment.
August
Jacksonville Caribbean Carnival
On August 17, you can celebrate the beauty and culture of the Caribbean with live music, food, costume parade, theater in the streets, a vendor village and so much more in Downtown Jacksonville. Let the Caribbean come to you!
September
Jaguars Season Kickoff
Football season heats up with a home opener versus the Cleveland Browns at EverBank Stadium. There’s no bigger fan than a Jacksonville Jaguars fan. Full schedule here.

First Wednesday Art Walk
Bring your family, friends and coworkers for a self-guided tour of Downtown’s Northbank core on the first Wednesday of every month, rain or shine. Explore James Weldon Johnson Park and all the businesses and public art around Downtown.
Riverside Arts Market
One of the most popular lively markets held Saturdays under the Fuller Warren bridge in Historic Riverside featuring local artists, food vendors & entertainment. Rain or shine, the market is 10 am to 3 pm.
904 Pop Up
A curated pop-up market featuring over 200 vendors each month in Jacksonville Beach at the Seawalk Pavilion.
Museum of Contemporary Art [MOCA]
The oldest contemporary art museum in the south, MOCA celebrates its 100th year with one-of-a-kind exhibitions such as Project Atrium: Frank Stella and the Norman Fisher Collection which features works from artists like Andy Warhol and Philip Glass, among many others.
Museum of Science and History [MOSH]
MOSH is home to some of the most educational exhibits of our time such as Atlantic Tails, Currents of Time and the Space Science Gallery. Enjoy current exhibitions such as Ice Dinosaurs: The Lost World of the Alaskan Arctic which displays newly discovered Arctic-dwelling dinosaurs never-before-seen in an exhibition.
