Catherine Hester McNair Park
Catherine Hester McNair Park—also known locally as Brentwood Park—is a vibrant community space located just north of the 20th Street Expressway in Jacksonville. Spanning approximately 16 acres, the park offers a wide array of recreational amenities designed for both youth and adults.
The park features lighted baseball and softball fields, basketball and tennis courts, and shuffleboard courts, making it a hub for active play and organized sports. Families can also enjoy a variety of playground equipment, providing safe and engaging options for children of all ages.
In addition to its athletic facilities, the park is home to a local Boys & Girls Club, serving as a cornerstone for youth development and enrichment in the Brentwood neighborhood.
A notable landmark within the park is the Brentwood Park Bandstand, a rare and historically significant example of Neoclassical/Greek Revival architecture in Jacksonville. Beyond its architectural importance, the bandstand also functions as a community center and is home to Bridge the Gap, an independent nonprofit organization that shares program space with the Clara White Mission.
