Elizabeth Park
Nestled along the banks of the St. Johns River, Elizabeth Park offers a scenic overlook tucked between two stately homes in Jacksonville’s historic Avondale neighborhood. Located at the end of the quaint, one-block Elizabeth Place subdivision, the park provides sweeping views of the river and a peaceful retreat within the residential setting. Both the subdivision and the park were named in honor of the developer’s daughter. His residence, built in 1914 at 1845 Elizabeth Place, was designed by renowned Jacksonville architect H.J. Klutho and featured the area’s first private swimming pool.
