The Alhambra Theatre and Dining Presents Christmas Carole, November 17 - December 24
Based on the book written by the incomparable Charles Dickens, this Alhambra Theatre classic follows the story of Ebenezer Scrooge and his extraordinary journey. This musical is sure to delight people of all ages.
Dazzling Nights, November 19 - January 2
Jacksonville Arboretum & Botanical Gardens will transform into a magical wonderland this holiday season featuring a million dazzling lights, shining forests, magical displays and beautiful sculptures during “Dazzling Nights™”, a family friendly adventure that gives guests the opportunity to embark on a three-quarter-mile interactive holiday experience. Tickets must be purchased for a specific time and date. $22 per person weekdays, $25 per person weekends.
Deck the Chairs, November 24 - January 1
More than forty American Red Cross life guard chairs will be decorated in coastal-themed designs and lights for Deck the Chairs in Jacksonville Beach. Kickoff is Wednesday, November 24 with chair decorating, music, hot cocoa, judging and lighting ceremonies.
Blackhawk Bluff Christmas Lights Display, November 26-December 31
One of the best lights displays in North Florida with the entire neighborhood decorated in lights. You can drive through the Christmas lights display on Sunday thru Thursday 6 to 10pm and Friday & Saturday 6 to 11pm.
Christmas in the Cathedral District: Let There Be Light, November 27 - December 31
Cathedral District Jacksonville is lighting up the district for Christmas in the Cathedral District: Let There Be Light, which will be visible from I-95 and the Acosta, Main Street, Hart and Mathews Bridges.
The Basilica of the Immaculate Conception, First Presbyterian Church of Jacksonville, First United Methodist Church, Historic Mt. Zion African Methodist Episcopal Church and St John’s Episcopal Cathedral will shine as part of a self driving tour that includes more than 150 brightly lit trees. Other significant historic landmark buildings of the Cathedral District will be illuminated as well including Morocco Temple, Bedell Law Firm, and Elena Flats.
Smith's Lights on Rue, November 25 - December 31
This free Christmas light path walk way is located in Mandarin (South Jax). Take a walk and get in the holiday spirit with beautiful lights and tons of inflatables and decorations.
Go Tuk'n Holiday Tours - Various Dates
Holiday Light Tours (1 hour): This begins nightly starting December 3. Guests of all ages love snuggling up with our furry blankets and heated seats to see the gorgeous lights in Downtown, Avondale, Riverside, and Springfield. Each tour is unique, with the Go Tuk’n drivers selecting the best light displays at the time of your tour.
Riverside Avondale Luminaria Night (One Night Only. December 12): This **ONE NIGHT ONLY** event is an amazing event Tuk’n around the beautiful areas of Riverside Avondale. The community purchases their Luminaria kits from the RAP group as one of their major fundraisers. RAP also lines many of the parks in these areas for this magical night of the holiday season.
19th Annual Gingerbread House Extravaganza - December 4-22
The Jacksonville Historical Society will host the 19th Annual Gingerbread Extravaganza in a manner which will ensure the health safety of its visitors. The event includes the traditional exhibit at Old St. Andrew’s Church as well as a holiday gift shop, bake shop, silent auction and an online contest to vote for your favorite display. Tickets include a short tour of the Merrill House Museum.
Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens ZOOLights, December 10-12, 17-19, 22-24 & 26
The 10th annual ZOOLights, a fantastical holiday light experience set to transform Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens, will take guests on a magical journey of the artistry of lights, sound, and nature itself. During this nightly event, the animals settle down for their long winter’s nap, while the lights take center stage. The season will come alive through different zones combined with twinkling replicas of zoo animals, Wildlife Carousel rides, mesmerizing lights, musical performances, carolers, and visits from Santa Claus.
TaxSlayer Gator Bowl, December 31
This annual football game is played at the TIAA Bank Field in Downtown attracting thousands of visitors from out of town. Come experience the excitement as the TaxSlayer Gator Bowl treats thousands of fans to one of the most exciting bowl games in college football.
New Year’s Eve Celebration, December 31
The City of Jacksonville invites you to say goodbye to 2021 and welcome in the New Year at the annual New Year's Eve Fireworks. The waterfront and skyline will serve as a backdrop for this amazing display over the St. Johns River. Fireworks will begin at exactly midnight.
New Year’s Eve: Rhapsody in Blue Eyes, December 31
Tony DeSare and the Symphony bring you the best songs of Sinatra, and Gershwin’s extraordinary Rhapsody in Blue. All followed by the best New Year’s party in town featuring dancing to The Chris Thomas Band, champagne and the best viewing location for the fireworks right outside the door.
