More InfoCurious about your community and the role tourism plays in it? Discover how Visit Jacksonville promotes our city by joining the Tourism Ambassador Program! This FREE program is designed to help residents learn more about the local tourism industry while highlighting the many things to see and do in Jacksonville—so you can confidently share your knowledge with friends, family, and visitors.
The FREE four-hour training session is offered on select dates throughout the year. The program is designed for anyone who interacts with guests and visitors regularly in Jacksonville and Duval County but is open to any individual interested in growing their knowledge of the area’s tourism offerings.
Participants who complete this program in its entirety will become certified Jacksonville Tourism Ambassadors! By becoming an Ambassador, you will be added to a dedicated mailing list with updates, event invitations, and new offerings in Jacksonville.
2 hours: Classroom Presentation & Quiz (lunch is provided)
90 min: Guided Walking Tour of Downtown
15 min: Wrap Up at Visit Jacksonville’s Downtown Visitor’s Center
There is a maximum capacity of 30 and a minimum capacity of 10 participants per class. If minimum attendance is not met one week before the scheduled class date, the class will be canceled, and participants will be notified and moved to the next class.
Additionally, organizations and businesses requesting the Ambassador training for their employees will be considered and can be arranged to take place outside the typical program and on-site at your location for no-cost.
