MaryAnne Rodriguez
Hi, I’m MaryAnne Rodriguez — Midwest raised, now a Florida girl through and through. I’m a two-time local business owner, wife, and busy mama of 3 who tries to balance family life with big dreams!
I met my husband in an elevator downtown (yes, really!) and we’ve been adventuring all over JAX (and the world!) ever since. Whether we’re on the water, exploring parks with the kids, or taste-testing every local restaurant we can find, I’m all about living life fully and locally!
What do you love most about Jacksonville?
What I love most about Jacksonville is that there’s ALWAYS something happening! From festivals and concerts to shop pop-up events and new restaurant openings, the city is full of energy—and I love being in the know and experiencing it all firsthand.
What is one thing you tell a visitor that they must see/do when in Jax?
One thing all visitors must do is get out on and in the water! Whether you rent a boat, find a friend with one, head to the beach or explore downtown on the water taxi, the river and ocean combo is one of my favorite parts of the city!
Where is your favorite local spot to eat?
As I am writing this, I am sitting in my favorite local bakery in town: 1748 Bakehouse! Don't sleep on any of the hand pies--they are all delicious! Everything is made with fresh/local ingredients and the best ingredient...love!
