The farthest north in Jacksonville’s beaches community, Atlantic Beach has a rich history of being an esteemed vacation destination dating back to the early 1900s.

Today, visitors can experience fine dining, upscale accommodations, outdoor activities and more just steps from the ocean. From Henry Flagler’s Continental Hotel in the early 1900s to today’s upscale Dune House Hotel & Spa, you’ll find quiet beaches and activities to keep you on the move during your time in Atlantic Beach. With the nearby Beaches Town Center, this pedestrian-friendly area offers visitors nightlife while the nature-centric Hanna Park allows outdoor adventurers opportunities to explore the ocean, trails and waterways of Northeast Florida.

Atlantic Beach offers a mix of local flavor and creative flair.

Coop 303 – Trendy two-story restaurant with rooftop dining, known for its modern Southern menu featuring fried chicken, creative cocktails and a lively atmosphere. Check out their upstairs lounge called Living Room Lounge with live music and delectable cocktails.

Grey Matter Distillery – Grey Matter creates cocktails made with their small-batch spirits like Carve Craft Vodka, Live Oak Whiskey and Mayport Moonshine.

Joseph’s Pizza – A longtime local favorite serving classic Italian dishes and hand-tossed pizzas in a welcoming, family-friendly setting.

Poe’s Tavern – Eclectic pub inspired by Edgar Allan Poe, offering burgers, sandwiches and cocktails.

Reve Brewing – A stop on the Jax Ale Trail, this neighborhood brewery specializes in hazy IPAs, fruited sours and barrel-aged stouts in a laid-back taproom. Go for a beer, but stay for their pizza made in-house at Bones Pizza.

Salumeria 104 – Authentic Italian restaurant known for its housemade pastas, cured meats and seasonal dishes.

Adventure Kayak - Explore the waterways of Northeast Florida with guided (or solo) kayak and paddleboard tours launching from Hanna Park, offering a unique way to experience the area's natural beauty and wildlife. They are also equip to offer kayaks for those with mobility issues.

Atlantic Beach Farmers Market - Held every Sunday from 10 am-2 pm at Jack Russell Park, this community market features fresh produce, local goods, handmade crafts, live music and food trucks in a friendly neighborhood.

Beaches Town Center – A vibrant hub where Atlantic Beach and Neptune Beach meet, filled with shopping, dining, and nightlife just steps from the ocean.

Kathryn Abbey Hanna Park – This park is a nature lover’s paradise with over 20 miles of hiking and biking trails, a 60-acre freshwater lake for kayaking, 1.5 miles of beachfront and The Poles, Northeast Florida’s premier surf spot. The park also offers tent and RV camping, plus cozy cabin rentals for overnight stays.
