The Sports Complex in Downtown Jacksonville is home to EverBank Stadium, voted one of the Top Fan Experiences in the NFL with two swimming pools, cabanas, live DJs, VIP Suites, and great food options. NFL in Jax: Let’s Roar!

The Jacksonville Jaguars experience is unlike any other in the NFL, the Jags fans are passionate and know how to tailgate! You’ll have just as much fun outside the stadium before the game as you will inside. Follow your team to Jax or come and become a Jags fan for the day, sample our local foods, drinks our local beer, join in on the local cheers (DUUUUVAAAALLL), and maybe take a dip in the pools inside the stadium. The Jacksonville Jaguars have some of the lowest tickets prices in the NFL.

College Football

Jacksonville plays host to two major college sporting events each year, one in the fall and one in the winter, and both are more than worth the trip! The iconic Florida vs. Georgia Football Rivalry has been taking place in our city since 1933, bringing together two passionate fan bases and thousands of college football lovers to our city. This game will be played outside of Jacksonville in 2026 and 2027 while the stadium undergoes renovations.

Equally exciting, every New Year weekend for the past 70 years, the TaxSlayer Gator Bowl brings the best of the SEC, the Big Ten Conference and the Atlantic Conference into Jacksonville for an unforgettable game and celebration to kick off the new year!

Wave Riders

Jacksonville has more shoreline than any other Florida destination, making us the spot to visit for anglers looking to reel in their next big catch and surfers wanting to tame a wild wave. Try out some of the unique water sports in Jacksonville. Surfing competitions take place all year long in our beaches and include Super Girl Surf Pro. Skateboarding

The Arlington area of Jacksonville is home to the iconic Kona Skate Park, the last of the original private-owned skateparks in the world. It has snake runs, pipes, walls, bowls and pools that generations of skateboarders from across the globe have enjoyed for years. In 2021, the skateboarding world gathered in Jacksonville for the Street League Skateboarding Super Crown Championship which featured 25 of the world’s best skateboarders.

Running

Everywhere you go in Jacksonville, you’ll find runners zipping along sidewalks, trails and beaches. With an average of 270 days of sunshine each year, the weather practically invites you to get outdoors. Dozens of races take place in Jax each year, including:

The DONNA Marathon Weekend. The renowned marathon weekend includes the DONNA Dash, 2-mile Pete's Bar Crawl, 5K, half-marathon, ultramarathon and full marathon, all to raise awareness and money for breast cancer patients and research.

Spartan Races. An obstacle race designed to push a runners abilities, Spartan races are unlike any other physical or mental challenge participants will face. Spartan weekend includes a variety of race distances and challenges.

Gate River Run. More than 20,000 participants make their way to Jax every March for the Gate River Run, the nation’s largest 15K, to experience first-hand the beauty of the city and the fun of this race.

Fishing

With the great year-round weather and more than 1,110 miles of interior shorelines another great sporting option is Jacksonville is fishing. Anglers love the area’s convenient access and the fresh and saltwater fishing options.

If competitive fishing is your game, then Jacksonville offers a wide variety of tournaments throughout the year including the El Cheapo Sheepshead Tournament in March, and the Greater Jacksonville Kingfish Tournament in July. This tournament is one of the largest kingfish tournaments in the southeast. In addition to the tournament, the event also includes a Junior Angler Offshore Tournament, a food festival and live entertainment.
