What is the cost to attend an Explorers event?
The events are free for attendees!


What types of Explorers events have been held in the past?
We have held a fishing clinic on the Jacksonville Beach Pier, a sound bath on the beach and at the Museum of Contemporary Art, trivia nights at breweries around Jacksonville, a silent disco on the Jacksonville Beach Pier, and a presentation of Shakesbeer by Lumen Rep Theatre to name a few.


How many people attend Explorers’ events?
It varies! Attendance can range from about 15- 300 people depending on the activity and venue space. While we prefer to keep our events open and available to all, we can encourage or require pre-registration with an option for walk-ins.


How do we market these events?
- Event pages on our website and app.
- Alert banners on our website and app.
- Push notifications for our app users within a certain radius of the event location.
- Visit Jacksonville’s social media channels.
- Extend invitations to Visit Jacksonville’s Insiders.
- Deliver and email flyers to hotels, nearby apartment complexes, and businesses closest to the venue where the event is going to be held.
- We also encourage our partners from each Explorers event to share on their social media and websites too!


How can you help?
We have amazing partners we regularly work with and are looking for more! We are planning several Explorers events and are looking for businesses in the local community, such as venues, attractions, restaurants, local makers, etc., to help make these events happen.
The cost for hosting these events is paid for by Visit Jacksonville and all are free to attend. We hope to partner with businesses who can offer a discount for their services and in return get exposure to our visitors and locals through our marketing efforts.
