Charles “Boobie” Clark Park and Pool
Charles “Boobie” Clark Park and Pool is named in honor of Jacksonville native Charles E. Clark. A graduate of Bethune-Cookman College, Clark made a name for himself on the national stage as a professional football player. Affectionately known as “Boobie,” he played fullback for the Cincinnati Bengals from 1972 to 1982 and was named the NFL’s Rookie of the Year in his debut season.
Today, the park serves as a vibrant hub for recreation and community gatherings. Visitors can enjoy ball fields, a swimming pool, tennis courts, and basketball courts. Inside the community center, guests will find foosball tables, board games, and meeting rooms that support a variety of indoor programs and activities for all ages.
