Historic - The Marble House (Bryson Residence)
The Bryson Residence has been one of the most well-known symbols of Avondale's elegance since it was built in 1928. Walter Bryson, a contractor had to sell shortly after completion due to the “crash” of the Florida Land Boom. The home was built at a cost of over $70,000. The home’s most unusual feature is the marble exterior that was quarried in Georgia. The home is mostly built in a Mediterranean Revival style. Bryson’s son was able to buy the approximately fifteen years after selling it and still lives there today. Please be respectful when viewing as it is a private residence.
