Makai is the first concept from GSD Group — a collective of young restaurateurs who each bring 10+ years of hospitality experience to the table. We're Jacksonville natives; we grew up here, and this city is home.
But Hawaii has always had a piece of our hearts. The freedom of the people, the beaches, the culture, and most of all — the food. We've traveled to Hawaii multiple times, and every visit reminded us of something we couldn't find back home.
