Jax Book Fest 2026

Jacksonville Public Library's big annual book bash returns with #1 New York Times bestselling authors John Patrick Green, Jennifer Lynn Barnes, and Emma Straub as well as 90+ local authors.

Held annually at the Main Library in Downtown Jacksonville, this free, one-day event invites readers of all ages to meet authors of local and national acclaim, attend free Lit Chat author talk programs, purchase books, and participate in other fun “bookish” activities.

Celebrate the power of the written word with a few thousand of your fellow book lovers! There will be free face painting for the kids, balloon artists, a fun photo booth, button making, scavenger hunts, and so much more.

Reminder: Street parking Downtown is free on Saturdays! If you prefer, parking will also be available in the Duval Street Parking Garage at 33 W. Duval Street, next to the Main Library. During special events, there is a flat cash fee (usually $5 or $10).
