Jazz at the Mudville Grille Music Room

First coast fans of jazz, swing, and big bands can satisfy their love of music every Monday night at the Mudville Grille Music Room. The 16 piece TBA Big Band plays the first and third Monday of each month. The 6 piece Rhythm City Rhythm Kings performs on the second and fourth Monday of each month. All performances are from 7:00 - 9:00 pm and there is only a $10.00 cover charge. Students are free.

The TBA Big Band performs swing-era classics and beyond, honoring legends like Glenn Miller and Duke Ellington while showcasing local arrangers and a roster of top-tier jazz musicians, many of whom are current or retired music professors from UNF, JU and FCCJ.

The River City Rhythm Kings bring the spirit of Mardi Gras to Jacksonville with classic jazz from the 1920s to 1940s, highlighting legends like Louis Armstrong and Fats Waller and inviting audiences to join in the lively Saints Go Marching In parade each evening.
