Quiltfest Jacksonville

The Jacksonville Quiltfest, judged quilt show, with the theme “Give Piece a Chance,” will have approximately 400 quilts on display. Over 50 vendors related to the quilting industry will be on-site. We will be showcasing TRIO, the SAQA (Studio Art Quilt Association) exhibit that reflects both the partnership among the three SAQA states (FL, GA and SC) and the artists’ interpretations of the idea of “three." Patriotic and Quilts of Valor will be especially welcome as we celebrate our country’s 250th birthday. A special presentation will be made to 12 veterans on Friday, September 18 at 1 pm.
Since 1986, local quilters have been showcasing their handmade creations, representing the current trends and the creativity of the makers. This present-day quilt show exhibits an amazing array of techniques and the use of modern fabrics and designs. From art quilts and modern quilts to traditional pieced and appliqued quilts, there will be a variety of beautiful and thought-provoking quilts on display.
