Sam just wants to feel like a normal teenager, even if it means risking a seizure at prom. Written and directed by filmmaker Miles Levin, who has epilepsy himself, Under the Lights stars Pearce Joza alongside Lake Bell, Nick Offerman, Randall Park and Mark Duplass. The film explores epilepsy, stigma and what it means to be seen.
After the screening, Dr. Joe Sirven, host of WJCT Public Media’s What’s Health Got To Do With It?, will lead a conversation with filmmaker Miles Levin about the story, the science and the stigma behind it.
