When it comes to your attendees, their experience matters to us. In Jacksonville, We Got You.
Visit Jacksonville works closely with conference hotels, the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office (JSO), Downtown Vision and other Downtown partners to help meeting professionals prepare for their groups. We can connect planners with the appropriate resources to discuss attendee movement, off-site activities and group-specific considerations before arrival.
Downtown Jacksonville regularly welcomes thousands of visitors for conventions, sporting events, concerts, festivals and other major events. JSO, Downtown Vision, hotels, venues and other partners work together to support a safe and welcoming Downtown environment.
JSO provides law-enforcement services throughout Downtown, including dedicated bike and walking-beat officers, and adjusts resources based on events and public-safety needs. For larger conventions or groups with specific concerns, Visit Jacksonville can help coordinate pre-event conversations with the appropriate partners.
Downtown Vision’s Ambassadors provide an additional visible presence Downtown seven days a week, serving as a safety, hospitality and clean team. Ambassadors can provide directions and parking information, escort visitors to Downtown destinations, contact police or medical assistance, connect individuals with social services and assist visitors and businesses.
In FY2025, Ambassadors completed 10,000+ hospitality assists and 7,200+ business check-ins, while Downtown Vision’s Social Services Outreach team assisted 1,062 individuals experiencing homelessness with services including documentation, transportation and access to additional resources.
Ready to give directions, answer questions, provide assistance, or walk you to your destination, the Downtown Ambassadors are Jacksonville's Downtown safety and hospitality team. The Ambassadors are an extra set of eyes and ears on the street, working closely with the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office and the city. Ambassadors are easily identified in their bright orange polo shirts serving Downtown Jacksonville day and night.
From hotels and meeting venues to Downtown activities and off-site events, Visit Jacksonville can help planners identify resources and connect with the right partners based on their group’s needs. Our goal is to help you understand the resources available before your attendees arrive.
